The 48 points below are the gates — every one must pass before a car is offered for sale. Points 49–150 are the line-item expansion behind them: every fluid, every light, every panel, checked on the full inspection form.

1 · Title & History — before anything else

A car with paperwork problems isn't a deal, it's a liability. This is checked the day the vehicle is acquired.

Title verified clean — no salvage, flood, or lemon brands (checked against NMVTIS) VIN matches title, dashboard, and door jamb Odometer recorded and consistent with title history — rollback red flags checked Vehicle history report (Carfax/AutoCheck) pulled and saved — your copy on request Open safety recalls checked at nhtsa.gov and logged Keys accounted for (second key noted if missing) As-acquired condition photographed for the file

3 · A/C, Electrical & Comfort

Florida rule: if the A/C isn't cold, the car isn't done.

4 · Exterior

Presented honestly — flaws that remain are photographed and disclosed, not hidden.

5 · Interior

7 · Honest Presentation

The listing you saw should match the car you touch.

8 · Final Sign-Off

Last gate before the car is offered — and the handoff that ends at your driveway, not the DMV line.

It is a record of points inspected and work performed — it is not a warranty, express or implied, and it does not modify the terms of sale. Warranty terms for any vehicle, if applicable, are stated exclusively on the FTC Buyers Guide displayed on that vehicle and in the written purchase agreement. Unless otherwise stated in writing there, vehicles are sold as-is. Used vehicles are used — items can wear or fail after sale, and an inspection reduces risk; it cannot eliminate it.
